Gamifying Food Waste Training (PCFWC)

In this case study between the Pacific Coast Food Waste Commitment and Dole, gamified waste training resulted in an 11% diversion from landfill at a cooler site in Marina, CA.

The project had three key results:

  • 127 employees (99% of staff that handles waste) received training.

  • The Gamified Waste training received an average satisfaction score of 90% from participants.

  • There was an 11% improvement in landfill diversion rates in the month following training.
