The project identified these insights and solutions:

  • 60% of food loss and waste happens on farms.

  • 9% of food loss and waste happens during distribution.

  • 7% of food loss and waste happens at retail.

  • 10 solutions were identified to reduce food loss and waste at the farm level, distribution level, retail level, and across the supply chain.
