Creating a Sustainable Future Through Food Waste Reduction

This report details the 2024 activities and outcomes for the Pacific Coast Food Waste Commitment and the U.S. Food Waste Pact. It includes the three food waste datasets (regional retail, national retail, national foodservice), signatory engagement activities, case study summaries, and newly launched resources.

  • Since the first year of data collection in 2019, unsold food rates have decreased by 30% for reporting PCFWC retailers.

  • Participating signatories met 25 times in 2024 through Working Groups and Sector Summits.

  • 4 intervention projects were completed.
