The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) is committed to advancing food waste reduction education, training, and resources through Hotel Kitchen—a collaborative initiative between AHLA, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) aimed at minimizing food waste across the global hospitality and food service industry.

Food Waste Reduction Strategies

  • Launched the Hotel Kitchen program in partnership with WWF to provide education, training, and resources that support food waste reduction across the hospitality industry.

  • Supporting federal bills—like the Good Samaritan Food Donation Act, the Food Date Labeling Act, and the Zero Food Waste Act—that support food waste reduction efforts.
